English Teacher – KS3/KS4 (Long‑term supply)

About the role
We are looking for an experienced English Teacher to join a secondary school in Brighton on a long‑term supply basis starting September 2026. You will deliver engaging KS3 and KS4 lessons and support student progress.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver English lessons for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Assess, track and report on student progress, adapting teaching methods as needed.
- Create an inclusive, stimulating learning environment that promotes well‑being.
- Participate in staff meetings, parent evenings and school events.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum.
Required profile
- Valid teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS or QTLS).
- Proven experience teaching English at secondary level (KS3/KS4).
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Current DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
