English Teacher – KS4/KS5 – Full‑time – Bromley

About the role

Prospero Teaching is partnering with a supportive secondary school in Bromley, South East London, to recruit an English Teacher for KS4 and KS5. The role is full‑time, long‑term and starts as soon as possible. Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) and experienced teachers are welcome to apply.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons for Year 10‑11 (KS4) and Year 12‑13 (KS5).
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Contribute to the department’s curriculum development and share best practice.
• Maintain classroom discipline and uphold safeguarding standards.
• Participate in staff meetings, parent evenings and school events.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – NQT or experienced.
• Commitment to a positive, inclusive learning environment.
• Willingness to engage in continuous professional development.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of the English National Curriculum for KS4 and KS5.
• Effective lesson‑planning and classroom‑management techniques.
