English Teacher – Secondary School (Full‑time)

About the role

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated English Teacher for a secondary school in Harrow, London. The role is full‑time, permanent and will primarily cover Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 pupils.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons for Years 7‑11.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Prepare resources and adapt materials to meet diverse learning needs.
• Participate in parent evenings and collaborate with the English department.
• Maintain accurate records and uphold safeguarding standards.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year teaching experience in the UK.
• Up‑to‑date safeguarding training completed within the last year.
• Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS with online update service.
• Two professional references covering the last two years.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of the English curriculum for Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Lesson planning and assessment expertise.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
