About the role
Philosophy Education Ltd is partnering with a secondary school in Folkestone, Kent to recruit a passionate English Teacher for the new academic year. The role involves delivering engaging English lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4 and supporting their development in both language and literature.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high‑quality English lessons for KS3 and KS4.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and academic achievement.
- Support learners of varying abilities and learning needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the English department.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and departmental initiatives.
Required profile
- Qualified English Teacher holding QTS or a recognised UK teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching English in a secondary school setting.
- Enthusiastic about the subject and committed to helping students reach their full potential.
