About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic English Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in Bedford. The role starts in September and offers the chance to work with motivated students across Key Stages 3 and 4 in a close‑knit community where every learner is valued.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons for Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Inspire a love of reading, writing and literature.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Contribute to enrichment activities and pastoral support.
- Collaborate with the English department and wider school staff.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards it.
- Strong subject knowledge of English language and literature.
- High expectations for student achievement.
- Effective classroom management and behaviour skills.
- Team‑oriented attitude and willingness to engage in school life.
