About the role
We are seeking an inspiring English Teacher to join a reputable secondary school in Leeds from September 2026. The role involves delivering engaging English lessons to Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a love of literature and strong language skills.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high‑quality English lessons for Key Stages 3 and 4, following the national curriculum.
- Assess student progress, record outcomes and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain classroom discipline and create an inclusive, supportive learning environment.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and contribute to the wider school community.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Degree in English or a related subject.
- Experience teaching English at secondary level.
- Strong classroom management and communication abilities.
- Commitment to safeguarding and pupil welfare.
