About the role
English Teacher – SEMH School QTS English Teacher required for an exceptional SEMH school known for its outstanding leadership and supportive environment. This dynamic SEMH school is seeking a skilled English Teacher to join their team and inspire students to develop a passion for literature and language.
Key responsibilities
- Teaching small classes of students with SEMH needs.
- Planning and delivering English lessons tailored to meet the individual needs and abilities of students.
- Creating engaging and interactive lessons that foster a love for English language and literature.
- Collaborating with a dedicated team to provide exceptional education for every child.
- Managing classroom behaviour effectively, utilizing de‑escalation techniques when necessary.
- Participating in school‑wide activities and reward days to enhance the school community.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in English.
- Experience teaching small groups of students with SEMH (social, emotional, and mental health) needs.
- Ability to manage classroom behaviour and use de‑escalation techniques.
- Commitment to collaborative work and continuous professional development.
