English Teacher – SEN Specialist (Full‑time)

About the role
We are looking for a dedicated English Teacher to join a supportive SEN school in Swindon. The role involves delivering engaging, accessible English lessons to students with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD and complex learning difficulties.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver differentiated English lessons across the relevant key stages.
- Adapt teaching to meet a range of SEN needs.
- Support development of literacy, communication, and independence skills.
- Work collaboratively with support staff and SEN professionals.
- Monitor and track pupil progress in line with EHCP targets.
- Maintain a calm, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
Required profile
- Qualified English Teacher.
- Patient, resilient and committed to supporting young people with additional needs.
- Willingness to develop skills in a specialist SEN setting.
- Previous SEN experience desirable but not essential.
