English Teacher – Temporary Full‑Time Placement

About the role
Tradewind Recruitment is seeking qualified English teachers for temporary full‑time placements across secondary schools in Tonbridge and Malling, starting in September 2026. This short‑term assignment offers the chance to gain diverse classroom experience and make a meaningful impact during a key part of the academic year.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
- Adapt teaching methods to suit varied classroom environments and student needs.
- Mark and assess student work, providing constructive feedback.
- Maintain a positive, productive classroom atmosphere and manage behaviour in line with school policies.
- Collaborate with school staff to support student progress.
- Uphold safeguarding and wellbeing standards at all times.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Strong subject knowledge in English.
- Adaptability and confidence across different school settings.
- Willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS disclosure and any required overseas police clearances.
- Legal right to work in the UK.
