About the role
Protocol Education is partnering with a secondary school in Tendring to recruit a qualified English Teacher. The role starts in January and involves delivering engaging English lessons to KS3 and KS4 pupils, supporting GCSE preparation, and contributing to the wider school community.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver curriculum‑aligned English lessons for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Prepare students for GCSE examinations and assess progress.
- Maintain effective classroom management and a positive learning environment.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
- Strong subject knowledge of English literature and language.
- Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 pupils.
- Student‑focused approach with good classroom management skills.
Required skills
- Curriculum planning and delivery.
- Assessment and feedback techniques.
- Effective communication with students and staff.
