Enhanced Nurse Practitioner – Internal Role

About the role

The Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is seeking an internal Enhanced Nurse Practitioner (ENP) to join its District Nursing and Community Services Division. This autonomous Band 6 position works across community settings, supporting the Clinical Futures programme and developing integrated practitioner pathways.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments in community environments.
• Make informed clinical decisions and provide advanced nursing interventions.
• Lead and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated care.
• Contribute to education and mentorship of junior staff.
• Engage in research activities to promote evidence‑based practice.

Required profile

• Current employee of Aneurin Bevan University Health Board.
• Registered Nurse with Advanced/Nurse Practitioner qualification.
• Experience in district nursing or community health services.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and lead teams.
