Enterprise Architect – Financial Services Cloud Transformation

About the role

Standard 8 is seeking a Senior Enterprise Architect to lead the financial services cloud transformation programme. The role blends strategic architecture design with hands‑on delivery across a highly regulated, complex environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define enterprise and domain‑level architecture direction for large‑scale transformation programmes.
• Produce future‑state roadmaps that are realistic and actionable.
• Drive architecture governance, standards, principles and technology guardrails.
• Support transition states and pragmatic delivery planning alongside programme leadership.
• Contribute to Architecture as Code initiatives and reusable architecture components.
• Advise on emerging technologies such as AI, agentic AI, blockchain and cloud‑native services.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in enterprise and platform architecture within large, regulated organisations.
• Proven ability to operate strategically while staying close to delivery teams.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with senior business and technical leaders.
• Experience across multiple financial domains (payments, lending, cards, pensions, capital markets).
