Entry Level IT Field Engineer

About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to start a career as an IT Field Engineer. The role involves travelling to customer sites across the UK, installing and maintaining a range of IT equipment, and receiving full training on the job.

Key responsibilities

• Visit client locations to install, repair or troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers and routers.
• Configure devices and perform basic network setup.
• Replace or upgrade components such as memory modules, hard drives, screens and power supplies.
• Carry out routine health checks and maintenance on IT hardware.
• Follow technical documentation and update the support desk with clear progress reports.
• Manage time and workload independently while keeping customers informed.

Required profile

• Enthusiasm for technology and a desire to build a long‑term IT career.
• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle for site travel.
• Practical, hands‑on attitude – DIY or similar experience is a plus.
• Ex‑military background is highly desirable.
