Environmental Data Analyst

About the role

We are seeking an Environmental Data Analyst to support our Environment and Sustainability strategy. Reporting to the Sustainability Manager, you will collect, validate and report environmental and sustainability data for internal and external stakeholders across the UK network.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, manage and validate environmental and sustainability data from across the business.
• Produce KPI dashboards and reports to support regulatory and sustainability commitments.
• Maintain accurate records, audit trails and support data assurance processes.
• Analyse data trends and provide insights to inform decision‑making.
• Support sustainability reporting, including annual progress reports and case studies.
• Collaborate with ESG, regulatory, performance and other teams to ensure data integrity and compliance.
• Keep internal platforms and dashboards updated with key data and insights.
• Respond to queries, contribute to projects and drive continuous improvement of data quality.

Required profile

• Experience in data management and ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Level 4 qualification, preferably in a STEM‑related subject.
• Knowledge of environmental and sustainability legislation is advantageous.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to build relationships across the business.
• Analytical mindset with problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Self‑starter, comfortable working independently or as part of a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience using Power BI or other data analysis tools.
• Familiarity with SharePoint or document management systems.
