Environmental & Sustainability Specialist – Part‑Time (UK)

About the role

Bechtel is seeking an Environmental and Sustainability Specialist to join a multi‑year contract supporting a UK nuclear infrastructure programme. Working remotely on a part‑time basis, you will act as the environmental representative for engineering activities and help drive the conceptual design of the Future Materials Campus.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Engineering Delivery Manager with environmental and sustainability aspects of the project.
• Prepare technical documents, reports and environmental studies.
• Define and integrate environmental criteria into design and schedule activities.
• Conduct quality checks and ensure compliance with project standards.
• Assist in the preparation of environmental impact assessments and related regulatory submissions.

Required profile

• Proactive, detail‑oriented professional with experience in environmental and sustainability within large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with nuclear or high‑hazard environments is advantageous.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
