Equine Riding Instructor – Part‑time (Hadlow Campus)

About the role

North Kent College is seeking a passionate Equine Riding Instructor to join its Hadlow campus. This part‑time position involves delivering high‑quality riding instruction to learners of all abilities, supporting their progression and ensuring safe horse handling.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, teach and assess riding lessons across a range of levels.
• Allocate horses to learners and supervise horse preparation.
• Exercise college horses and enter them in on‑site competitions.
• Collaborate with industry professionals to enrich the learner experience.
• Participate in applicant interviews and represent the department at marketing events.
• Work with equine grooms to maintain high standards of horse care.

Required profile

• Minimum Level 3 qualification in a related area.
• Recognised BHS riding instruction qualification (Stage 3 or above).
• Positive, can‑do attitude with a strong desire to develop learners’ riding abilities.
• Availability for 1 or 2 days per week (7.4 h or 14.8 h) across 42 weeks.
