Equipment Engineering Technician

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Equipment Engineering Technician with a strong electronics background to support state‑of‑the‑art semiconductor production equipment in a fast‑paced 24/7 manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain over 80% uptime across key semiconductor process equipment.
• Diagnose, fault‑find and repair complex manufacturing equipment and electronic PCBs to component level.
• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance to minimise production downtime.
• Provide technical guidance to technicians, shift leaders and production teams.
• Collaborate with process engineers, equipment supervisors and operators to maximise equipment performance.
• Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Lead continuous‑improvement, cost‑reduction and process‑optimisation projects.
• Assist in planning maintenance schedules and engineering projects.
• Develop and maintain engineering documentation, work instructions and maintenance procedures.
• Liaise with OEM equipment suppliers, subcontractors and service engineers.
• Carry out mechanical maintenance such as pump and valve replacement.
• Work safely with chemicals following health‑and‑safety procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an equipment engineer or technician in a semiconductor or high‑tech manufacturing setting.
• Strong electronics knowledge and a passion for solving complex technical challenges.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a 24/7 environment.
• Commitment to safety and compliance with company policies.
