Escalator Engineer – Day Shift in Greater London

About the role

Stannah is seeking an experienced Escalator Engineer to join its day‑shift team covering Greater London, Gatwick and Stansted stations. You will maintain and repair a variety of high‑profile escalator and moving‑walkway systems, ensuring safe and reliable operation across busy transport hubs.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance, urgent repairs and call‑outs on escalators and moving walkways from multiple manufacturers.
• Carry out thorough risk assessments and complete site log cards for every visit.
• Maintain high standards of safety, service quality and customer care on all assignments.
• Travel within the M25 area and to Gatwick and Stansted stations as required.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Escalator Engineering.
• Proven experience working on escalators and moving walkways.
• Valid UK driving licence.
• Residency within the M25 area is preferred.

Required skills

• KONE TM, RTV and RTK units.
• Schindler 9300 escalators.
• Anlev systems.
• Otis 506 NCE equipment.
• Mechanical fault‑finding.
• Electrical fault‑finding.
