Escalator Engineer – Night Shift (London)

About the role

Stannah is seeking a dedicated Escalator Engineer to work night shifts across Greater London, including key rail and airport stations. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of high‑profile escalator and moving‑walkway systems, ensuring safe and reliable operation throughout your patch.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance, urgent call‑outs and repairs on escalators and moving walkways from multiple manufacturers.
• Carry out thorough risk assessments and complete site log cards on every visit.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults quickly and accurately.
• Maintain high standards of service delivery, safety and customer care on all sites.
• Travel within the M25 area, with occasional work at Gatwick and Stansted airport stations.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Escalator Engineering.
• Proven experience working on escalators and moving walkways.
• Valid UK driving licence.

Required skills

• KONE TM, RTV and RTK units.
• Schindler 9300 escalators.
• Anlev systems.
• Otis 506 NCE equipment.
• Escalator fault‑finding (mechanical & electrical).
