ESOL Lecturer – Full‑time Permanent Role

About the role

The ESOL department is seeking a dynamic lecturer to deliver high‑quality English language instruction to learners aged 16‑18 and 19+. You will teach across a range of levels, from beginners to Level 2, and support students in achieving both academic and personal goals.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons using a variety of teaching techniques.
• Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback and record assessments.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment that promotes independence and respect.
• Collaborate with the Head of ESOL and curriculum teams to develop programmes and address additional English and Maths needs.
• Track attendance and progress in line with college policies.
• Participate in professional development and contribute to the college’s strategic objectives.

Required profile

• Passion for teaching ESOL and ability to motivate diverse learners.
• Strong communication skills and commitment to student‑centred learning.
• Willingness to engage with parents, carers and external partners.
