ESOL Tutor – Flexible Part‑Time Role in Halton

About the role
The role involves delivering one‑to‑one English language tuition to ESOL learners in Halton. You will tailor each programme to the individual’s needs, helping them improve communication, confidence and achieve personal goals. The position starts in September 2026 and offers flexible part‑time hours.
Key responsibilities
- Provide engaging 1:1 English language tuition to learners whose first language is not English.
- Design and adapt lessons to meet each learner’s objectives and progress.
- Support learners in developing communication skills and confidence.
- Maintain accurate records of learner progress and attendance.
Required profile
- Experience delivering ESOL tuition.
- Relevant qualification such as CELTA, DELTA, TEFL/TESOL, PGCE, QTS or equivalent (preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Flexible, learner‑focused approach.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one) and two professional references.
