ESOL Tutor – Flexible Part‑Time Role in Liverpool

About the role
We are seeking qualified ESOL Tutors to deliver high‑quality one‑to‑one English lessons to learners in Liverpool. The role offers flexible hours (5‑15 hrs per week) and starts in September 2026, providing an ongoing opportunity to support adult learners in achieving their language goals.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver personalised ESOL lessons tailored to each learner’s ability and objectives.
- Assess learner progress and adapt teaching strategies to address language barriers or interrupted education.
- Maintain a supportive, patient, and adaptable learning environment.
- Record session details and provide feedback to learners.
Required profile
- Right to work in the United Kingdom.
- Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
- Two professional references related to work with learners.
- Experience teaching English to speakers of other languages.
Required skills
- ESOL teaching qualification (e.g., CELTA, Trinity CertTESOL) – desirable.
- Creative, patient, and flexible approach to teaching.
