ESOL Tutor – Flexible Part‑Time Role in Wirral

About the role
Prospero Teaching is looking for enthusiastic ESOL Tutors to deliver one‑to‑one English language tuition to learners across the Wirral. This part‑time position offers flexible hours and the chance to support adults whose first language is not English, helping them achieve personal, educational or employment goals.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver personalised 1:1 lessons covering speaking, listening, reading and writing.
- Assess learners’ progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
- Provide tuition in learners’ homes, community venues or other agreed settings.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance and achievement.
Required profile
- Recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, CELTA, DELTA, TEFL/TESOL or equivalent).
- Proven experience delivering ESOL or English language tuition.
- Experience working one‑to‑one or with small groups.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Right to work in the UK and willingness to obtain an enhanced DBS certificate.
Required skills
- Ability to design learner‑centred lesson plans.
- Effective classroom management in one‑to‑one settings.
