Estate Caretaker – Mobile (3‑month Temp)

About the role

This is a mobile Estate Caretaker position for a well‑known housing association in South West London. The role is initially a three‑month fixed‑term contract with the possibility of becoming permanent.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain internal, external and common areas of housing blocks to a high standard of cleanliness and safety.
• Rotate and manage refuse bins, ensure chutes are clear and bulk bins are ready for collection.
• Sweep, wash and disinfect communal staircases, landings and surrounding surfaces.
• Clean ledges, sills, handrails, balustrades, doors, walls and remove cobwebs from light fittings.
• Hose down and disinfect areas after refuse removal.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence (van provided).
• Experience in estate or property caretaking and grounds maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and follow health‑and‑safety procedures.

Required skills

What we offer

• PAYE rates from £13.85 to £14.80 per hour or umbrella rates from £16.55 to £18.71 per hour.
• Standard working hours: 08:00‑16:00, Monday‑Friday.
• Potential to move to a permanent contract after the temporary period.
