Estate Officer

About the role

The Estate Officer will support Irwell Valley Homes in delivering a high‑quality, customer‑focused estate management service across its Greater Manchester portfolio. Working with internal teams and external partners, you will help maintain neighbourhoods to a high environmental standard while ensuring residents enjoy safe, well‑kept surroundings.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the maintenance of estates and neighbourhoods to exceptional environmental standards.
• Deliver environmental projects, cyclical programmes and community initiatives.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
• Carry out landscaping, gardening, horticultural and arboriculture work in line with licensing requirements.
• Inspect estates and address issues such as fly‑tipping, litter, graffiti, repairs, dog fouling and vandalism.
• Operate machinery and equipment safely according to manufacturer instructions and health‑and‑safety policies.
• Support the Estate Manager with administrative tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Positive, proactive attitude with a strong “can‑do” mindset.
• Effective customer‑service skills and clear communication.
• Methodical, well‑organised approach with ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Experience working with external agencies, including local authorities.
