Estates Compliance and Risk Manager

About the role

This interim position supports a critical period of organisational assurance and ISO 9001 accreditation. Working on‑site 3‑4 days a week, you will strengthen risk management processes and ensure quality documentation is ready for inspection.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update corporate risk registers, ensuring controls, mitigations and ownership are documented.
• Lead the preparation of evidence and documentation for ISO 9001 accreditation and external audits.
• Review, revise and publish quality management policies, procedures and supporting records.
• Produce risk and quality reports for senior management and Board consideration.
• Provide governance, compliance and assurance advice across the organisation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in risk management and maintaining corporate risk registers.
• Hands‑on experience supporting or leading ISO 9001 accreditation, audits or quality inspections.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and influence senior stakeholders.
• Background in NHS, healthcare, estates, facilities management or the public sector is advantageous.
