Estates Manager – Property & Facilities Management

About the role

The Estates Manager will oversee a mixed‑use property in Kendal, within the Lake District National Park, ensuring smooth operation of buildings and estate facilities while maintaining a safe, pleasant environment for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for on‑site facilities management delivery and compliance with operational standards.
• Liaise with clients, tenants and lease‑holders to ensure statutory and contractual compliance.
• Prepare and manage service‑charge budgets for the estate.
• Supervise service contracts, maintain up‑to‑date records of contractor work, and manage health & safety files, manuals and drawings.
• Oversee CCTV systems in line with data‑protection legislation and coordinate with council, enforcement officers and police.
• Manage the site’s waste‑management plan and ensure continuous adherence to health‑and‑safety policies.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in facilities management, including residential properties.
• Health & safety qualification such as NEBOSH or IOSH.

What we offer

• Competitive salary of £40,000 – £45,000 per annum.
