Estates Operative – Part‑time

About the role

Join the team at Gittisham Hill Park Retirement Village as a part‑time Estates Operative. You will help create and maintain beautiful outdoor spaces that enhance residents' quality of life.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with planting, watering, pruning and weeding of flowers, plants and trees.
• Maintain lawns, hedges and other green areas.
• Operate and maintain gardening equipment and tools.
• Support landscaping projects and collaborate with the team to meet residents' preferences.
• Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment.
• Help the GM/FM with additional tasks around the village when needed.

Required profile

• Passion for working with plants and creating attractive outdoor spaces.
• Basic knowledge of gardening techniques and plant care.
• Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions.
• Physical stamina for lifting and operating equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach.

Required skills

• Operation of gardening equipment.
• Plant care and basic horticultural knowledge.
