Estates Surveyor

About the role

Marks Consulting Partners are recruiting an Estates Surveyor for a charity sector client. The role is remote with regular travel across London and the South East, offering a permanent contract at up to £53,000 per year.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a designated portfolio of properties, delivering repairs and maintenance as required.
• Act as the property expert for colleagues, providing high levels of service and support.
• Oversee property works in alignment with retail and operations managers within agreed SLAs.
• Assess property issues and take appropriate action, maintaining accurate records in estate and FM databases.
• Provide advice on retail and commercial lease acquisitions and disposals.
• Liaise with agents, landlords, neighbouring occupiers, solicitors and local authorities.
• Procure and manage contractors, ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation.

Required profile

• Post‑qualification experience in surveying within a property or facilities management environment.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Working knowledge of retail and commercial leases, acquisitions and disposals.
• Multi‑site property management and compliance experience.
• Experience managing small building or maintenance projects up to £500k, including financial controls and contractor management.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.

What we offer
