Estimator / Bid Writer – Harlow

About the role

We are looking for an Estimator / Bid Writer to join our client’s specialist security systems team in Harlow. The role involves preparing tenders, quotations and cost proposals for CCTV, access control and related projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare tenders, quotations and project proposals.
• Produce detailed cost breakdowns and review technical specifications.
• Collaborate with suppliers, clients and internal teams throughout the bid process.
• Support competitive bids while maintaining agreed profit margins.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Required profile

• Previous experience in estimating, bid writing or pre‑construction, preferably within security systems, CCTV or access control.
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret specifications and price work accurately.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
