Estimator – CNC Machining & Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking an Estimator with a strong CNC machining background to join a leading precision engineering company in Burnley. The role blends technical expertise with commercial acumen, allowing you to shape project strategies and drive profitable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse customer RFQs and technical drawings to develop manufacturing solutions.
• Produce accurate cost estimates for CNC turning and milling projects.
• Determine appropriate machining methods, cycle times, tooling and fixture requirements.
• Use CAD/CAM software to generate toolpaths and assess material usage.
• Support programming improvements, process development and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Experience in CNC machining, manufacturing engineering, CNC programming or estimating.
• Strong understanding of both CNC turning and milling processes.
• Proficiency with CAD/CAM software and ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Based locally in Burnley or willing to commute.
