Estimator – Construction Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our growing pre‑construction team in Exeter. You will play a pivotal role in the tendering process, delivering accurate and competitive cost estimates for a variety of construction, civil engineering and infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions.
• Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Identify project risks, opportunities and value‑engineering options.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Assist with pricing variations and commercial proposals.
• Ensure estimates are completed accurately and submitted within deadlines.
• Support handover of successful tenders to the delivery team.

Required profile

• Previous experience as an Estimator or Assistant Estimator.
• Background in construction, civil engineering, utilities, infrastructure or related sectors.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to produce competitive tenders.
• Full UK driving licence.
