Estimator – Construction Projects up to £6M

About the role
A growing refurbishment main contractor based in Hertfordshire is looking for an experienced Estimator to join their medium‑sized team. You will work from the enquiry stage through to tender preparation, collaborating closely with the Commercial Director on projects worth up to £6 million.
Key responsibilities
- Develop accurate cost estimates for retail, commercial and education fit‑out projects.
- Prepare tender documentation and support the Commercial Director during the bidding process.
- Analyse project specifications, drawings and bills of quantities.
- Maintain and update a cost database to improve future estimating accuracy.
Required profile
- Minimum 3 years experience as an estimator for a construction main contractor.
- Strong understanding of refurbishment, fit‑out and commercial construction.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tender packages simultaneously.
