Estimator – Construction Tendering

About the role

As an Estimator, you'll play a vital role in supporting our tendering process, helping to create competitive bids that win projects whilst maintaining profitability. You'll work collaboratively with various teams to estimate project costs, identify opportunities, and manage risk effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Estimating project costs and resources, preparing tender submissions that minimise risk and maximise profit.
• Building and maintaining strong commercial relationships with customers, consultants, contractors, and suppliers throughout the tender process.
• Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing and favourable terms.
• Supporting value engineering initiatives and collaborating with design, planning, and commercial teams.
• Participating in project handovers to ensure smooth transition to delivery teams.

Required profile

• Experience working with a Main Contractor, ideally Tier 2 or above.
• Proficient in Excel and estimating system software.
• Conscientious working approach with excellent attention to detail.
• Enjoy building collaborative relationships and communicating effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment and managing multiple priorities.
• Transferable skills welcome even if you don't tick every box.
