Estimator – Tier 2 Main Contractor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join a fast‑growing Tier 2 main contractor in Newcastle. You will work within a close‑knit pre‑construction team, influencing the pricing of commercial, residential, education and industrial projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for a varied project portfolio.
• Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation to identify scope and risks.
• Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Collaborate closely with commercial and operational teams to align pricing strategies.
• Identify value‑engineering opportunities and propose risk mitigation measures.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Estimator with a UK Tier 2 main contractor.
• Background in pricing commercial, residential, education or industrial projects.
• Strong commercial awareness and effective communication skills.
