EU Road Freight Forwarder – Logistics & Account Management

About the role

Join a fast‑growing logistics business as an EU Road Freight Forwarder, combining freight operations, account management and commercial growth. You will work from a hybrid office in Salford, supporting the company’s ambition to become a leading technology‑enabled road freight platform across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow an existing portfolio of customers and carriers.
• Coordinate daily transport operations and shipment execution.
• Build strong relationships with customers, carriers and key stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to expand services and increase account value.
• Negotiate rates and manage transactional sales activities.
• Monitor transport performance and provide proactive customer updates.
• Support business reviews through data analysis and performance reporting.
• Drive efficiency, profitability and service improvements across customer supply chains.

Required profile

• 2+ years’ experience in logistics, freight forwarding, account management or a commercial role.
• Strong customer relationship and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Commercial mindset with a focus on growth and profitability.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
• Additional European language skills are advantageous.
• Ambitious, energetic and eager to learn and develop.
