EV Electrician

About the role

HF Group is seeking a qualified EV Electrician to join its Electrical Division in Manchester. The role involves installing, testing and maintaining electric vehicle charge points on commercial and industrial sites, ensuring compliance with BS7671 and current building regulations while delivering high‑quality workmanship.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out EV charge‑point and general electrical installations in accordance with BS7671 and building regulations.
• Perform inspection, testing and certification of electrical systems, focusing on EV charging sites.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults efficiently and safely.
• Supervise apprentices and junior electricians on site.
• Maintain accurate documentation, compliance records and liaise with clients and site managers.

Required profile

• S/JIB Approved Electrician status or equivalent.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
• ECS card (Gold) holder.
• Proven experience in commercial or industrial electrical work.
• Full UK driving licence (preferred).
