About the role

Join a Barchester care home in Wells as an Evening Care Assistant. You will help residents enjoy each day by providing compassionate, person‑centred support during the 5 pm‑8 pm shift.

Key responsibilities

Assist residents with food, drink and personal hygiene in line with individual care plans.
Provide one‑to‑one companionship and emotional support.
Follow and document care plans accurately.
Ensure a safe, clean and welcoming environment during your shift.
Communicate any changes in resident condition to senior staff.

Required profile

Previous experience caring for older adults.
Positive, can‑do attitude and strong communication skills.
Empathy, warmth and a genuine desire to support residents.
