Evening Customer Service Advisor (Fixed‑Term)

About the role

Davies is seeking a full‑time Customer Service Advisor to work evening shifts on a three‑month fixed‑term contract in Preston. The role is based in a call‑centre environment supporting home emergency insurance customers from 15:00 to 23:00, Monday‑Sunday.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to inbound calls from home emergency insurance customers.
• Work to targets and KPIs in a friendly and professional call‑centre environment.
• Support customers through the claim journey from initial notification to resolution.
• Validate policyholder details, diagnose issues and dispatch the appropriate trade contractor while keeping the customer informed.
• Process excess policy payments, arrange boiler services and negotiate with contractors.
• Opportunity to multi‑skill across various insurance product lines.

Required profile

• Experience with First Notification of Loss (FNOL) or claims handling is an advantage.
• Previous contact‑centre experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Excellent telephone manner with strong customer‑service skills and the ability to think on your feet.
• Strong attention to detail and self‑motivation.
• Positive, confident approach, using empathy, tact and diplomacy with distressed customers.
• PC literate with solid administrative abilities.
