Evening Shift Vehicle MET Technician

About the role

We're looking for a MET Technician to join our team and play a key role at Activate Accident Repair Birmingham, dismantling and reassembling accident‑damaged vehicles in line with manufacturer specifications and to the high standards our customers expect. The position is an evening shift, Monday‑Thursday 12:00 pm‑11:30 pm, with a £5,000 sign‑on bonus paid after successful probation.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out work detailed in the estimate, removing damaged components from the vehicle ready for repair or paint work.
• Refit repaired or replacement components, restoring the vehicle to pre‑accident condition.
• Deliver the highest standard of quality on every job.
• Achieve manufacturer and/or estimated repair times.
• Report all faults and defects noticed while working on vehicles.
• Accurately record all components, materials and consumables used.

Required profile

• ATA or NVQ Level 3 qualification.
• Good communication, decision‑making and problem‑solving abilities.
• Strong health and safety knowledge and awareness.
• Effective time‑management skills.
• Relevant industry experience as a repair technician.
