About the role

Join Visiting Angels North Shropshire as an Evening & Weekend Home Care Assistant and help clients maintain independence and quality of life in the comfort of their own homes. This part‑time position offers flexible evenings and weekends, ideal for those balancing family, study or another job.

Key responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Provide companionship, emotional support and help with evening routines.
• Prepare meals and drinks, and support medication routines.
• Carry out light household tasks and help clients get ready for bed.
• Build meaningful relationships with regular clients.

Required profile

• Genuine desire to help people and a caring attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Dependable, professional approach with a full UK driving licence.
• Access to a reliable vehicle for travel between client homes.
• Previous care experience is beneficial but not mandatory.

Required skills

What we offer

• Weekday rate £13.75/hour, weekend rate £14.25/hour, Bank Holiday rate £23.00/hour.
• Paid travel time (£12.71/hour) and mileage between visits.
• Fortnightly pay and fully paid classroom‑based training.
