Event Programme Manager

About the role

The Event Programme Manager will lead conference management for association clients, overseeing the scientific programme from the planning committee through to live delivery. This hybrid role combines strategic programme design with hands‑on coordination of speakers, abstract systems and onsite execution.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and manage abstract management systems, handling submissions and peer‑review workflows.
• Coordinate speaker logistics, including invitations, travel, accommodation and onsite transitions.
• Translate scientific agendas into session grids, managing room layouts and AV requirements.
• Maintain master programme databases and ensure alignment across apps, websites and printed materials.
• Lead onsite programme delivery, supervising temporary staff teams at scale.
• Support client briefings, budget liaison and supplier relationships throughout each project.

Required profile

• Proven project management experience in complex, deadline‑driven programmes.
• Hands‑on experience with online abstract management systems and processes.
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills across multiple workstreams.
• Good client relationship abilities with financial awareness.
