Events Assistant – Seasonal Part‑Time (London)

About the role

We are seeking three seasonal Events Assistants to join our London museum team on a part‑time basis. The role runs until 31 March 2027, offering 10 guaranteed hours per year with the possibility of additional overtime. You will work alongside the Public Events Team to help deliver a diverse programme of visitor‑focused events.

Key responsibilities

• Provide proactive and reactive customer care to visitors.
• Assist in the set‑up and pack‑down of public‑event activities, including workshops and large‑scale commercial events.
• Support the delivery of programmes such as the Airfix Model 2 Club, school‑holiday workshops and the annual paper aeroplane contest.
• Handle on‑the‑day sales transactions associated with events.
• Supervise and support Event Maker volunteers.
• Safeguard the security of visitors, staff and museum assets in line with policy.

Required profile

• Demonstrable experience in a public‑facing, customer‑service environment.
• Proven ability to work effectively within a team and share information.
• Energy and pace to complete tasks efficiently.
