Events Fundraising Assistant – Fixed‑Term

About the role

Hope & Homes for Children is seeking an organised Events Fundraising Assistant on a four‑month fixed‑term contract (mid‑August to mid‑December 2026). You will support a portfolio of fundraising events that generate vital income for the charity’s mission to reunite children with families.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain guest lists and manage dietary requirements.
• Assist with the production of event brochures and promotional materials.
• Coordinate silent auction set‑up and delivery.
• Track post‑event income and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Liaise with donors, suppliers and volunteers to ensure smooth event execution.

Required profile

• Highly organised and detail‑oriented.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Ability to juggle multiple deadlines across several events.
• Professional, warm manner when interacting with guests and partners.
• Experience in event delivery, database handling and drafting donor‑facing copy.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.

What we offer

• Salary £26,314 – £28,347 per annum pro‑rata, dependent on experience.
