Ex-Offender Mentor – Support Rehabilitation in Gloucester

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Ex‑Offender Mentor to join a community‑focused team in Gloucester. In this full‑time permanent position you will guide individuals who have completed rehabilitation programmes, helping them rebuild their lives and reintegrate successfully into society.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a caseload of participants, delivering tailored one‑to‑one and group support.
• Collaborate with volunteer peer mentors and external agencies to secure housing, health, substance‑misuse and wellbeing services.
• Assess and manage risks, following safeguarding procedures and reporting changes to the Probation Service.
• Record progress and outcomes using an electronic case‑management system.
• Meet individual and team performance targets in line with contractual obligations.
• Contribute to a positive team environment by sharing best practice.

Required profile

• Experience working in a target‑driven environment such as probation, social care, employability, housing or the criminal‑justice sector.
• Compassionate, resilient and motivated to make a tangible difference in the community.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Required skills

• Strong IT proficiency and experience with electronic case‑management systems.

What we offer

• Competitive salary between £25,877 and £29,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
• Full‑time permanent contract with a 37‑hour work week.
