Exam and Assessment Officer

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Exam and Assessment Officer to join our Birmingham campus. In this role you will ensure the smooth planning, delivery and quality of examinations and assessments for our student community.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate exam timetables, venues, invigilators and required resources across campuses.
• Prepare, distribute and safeguard examination papers and assessment materials.
• Oversee the set‑up of exam rooms, monitor conditions during exams and ensure compliance with university and regulator guidelines.
• Arrange reasonable adjustments for students with disabilities to guarantee equitable access.
• Process, scan and record exam results while maintaining confidentiality and data integrity.
• Act as the primary contact for students, faculty and staff on exam‑related queries.
• Monitor internal and external moderation processes and maintain accurate grade records.
• Identify improvement opportunities and implement quality‑assurance measures.

Required profile

• Strong organisational and analytical abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality.
• Ability to work collaboratively with academic and administrative teams.
• Experience in handling exam logistics or similar administrative functions is desirable.

Required skills

• Proficiency in data entry and record‑keeping.
• Familiarity with exam management systems or similar software.
