About the role
Pearson is seeking qualified examiners to mark GCE A Level Economics (2016 specification) scripts. Marking is performed primarily on‑screen using the ePEN system, allowing you to work from home during the May‑July marking window.
Key responsibilities
- Mark candidates’ responses accurately and consistently according to the official mark scheme.
- Submit sample scripts to your Team Leader at designated times.
- Adhere to marking milestones and deadlines.
- Complete all required administrative tasks.
Required profile
- Degree or equivalent qualification.
- At least one academic year of teaching experience within the last eight years, including recent undergraduate‑level teaching.
- High level of subject knowledge in Economics to apply the mark scheme.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
Required skills
- Proficiency with the ePEN digital marking platform.
