Examiner - GCE A Level Politics (2017 specification)

About the role

Pearson is seeking qualified examiners to mark GCE A Level Politics (2017 specification) scripts. The role is fully remote, allowing you to work from home while applying your subject expertise to ensure consistent, high‑quality assessment.

Key responsibilities

• Mark candidates' responses using the pre‑defined mark scheme and ePEN platform.
• Submit marking samples to the Team Leader by designated deadlines.
• Adhere to all examination procedures, recognition conditions, and administrative requirements.
• Maintain milestones for marking and ensure timely completion of each allocation.

Required profile

• One academic year of teaching experience within the last eight years, preferably in Politics.
• A degree in Politics or a qualified teaching status.
• Strong subject knowledge to accurately apply the mark scheme.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the ePEN marking system (or similar digital assessment tools).
