Experienced Architectural Technician – Preston

About the role

An established, award‑winning multi‑disciplinary construction and design consultancy is seeking an experienced Architectural Technician to join its growing team in Preston. The role offers exposure to a varied portfolio of technically challenging projects across sectors such as healthcare, education, commercial and heritage.

Key responsibilities

• Producing detailed technical drawings, specifications and construction information using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Developing technical solutions from initial design through to construction and preparing planning, Building Regulations and tender information.
• Coordinating project information with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors and clients.
• Supporting BIM coordination and maintaining accurate project data throughout the delivery process.
• Attending design, client and site meetings and assisting with the resolution of technical issues.

Required profile

• HNC/HND/degree or equivalent qualification in Architectural Technology with UK‑based industry experience.
• Strong communication and coordination skills, able to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Highly organised, detail‑oriented and capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD within a BIM environment.
• Good understanding of UK Building Regulations, construction methods and technical detailing.
• Familiarity with the RIBA Plan of Work and CIAT accreditation (advantageous).
