About the role
We are seeking an experienced carpenter to join a respected independent building company on a long‑term, self‑employed basis. The role involves delivering high‑end residential extensions, loft conversions and full refurbishments across Bromley and surrounding areas.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out 1st and 2nd fix carpentry on single, double‑storey and wrap‑around extensions.
- Perform internal refurbishments, room repurposing, garage conversions and office re‑fits.
- Collaborate with the site team to ensure quality finishes and timely project delivery.
Required profile
- Self‑employed carpenter with a proven track record in residential projects.
- Own van and full set of tools.
- Based in or near Bromley, Croydon, Lewisham or surrounding areas.
Required skills
- 1st fix carpentry
- 2nd fix carpentry
- General building work
- Plaster boarding and rendering
- Internal tiling, grouting and floor screeding
- Sealant and mastic application
